Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has a simple but extremely important mission: to provide a reliable and quality supply of electricity and water to facilitate the sustainable development of the country. For this project, EWA’s objective was to officially inaugurate a 400 KV electricity transmission line designed to reduce so-called "short circuits" and ensure the safe operation of equipment to transfer electrical energy from production plants to load centres throughout Bahrain. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2017.
Pico were invited to activate the inauguration ceremony of this important project at Bahrain’s Hidd Power Station. Our teams designed a concept encompassing a themed ceremonial stage set and project exhibition area housed within 900 sq. m. of temporary tent structures set up at the power plant. The set decor and exhibition displays used a combination of modular systems and custom built elements incorporating graphics, with LED screens, stage lighting and audio elements highlighting the visual aspects of project.
The project was officially inaugurated by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, who tapped on a touch pad to activate the spectacular multimedia launch presentation. EWA was impressed with the event delivery and will turn to Pico to activate other events in the future.
